dad, tell me your story
Last Christmas, my brother gifted our parents one of those books where parents write down their stories — their memories, their feelings, their answers to questions they've perhaps never been asked out loud.
You can't cling to the past and work towards the future at the same time.
One hand holding on. One hand reaching forward. And you? Exhausted, somewhere in the middle. The past happened. It shaped you. It hurt you. It made you who you are.
inner trust
What you need to understand and acknowledge is when working on inner trust is that the calmer we are, the clearer we think. And the more we trust ourselves.
I’m so tired…
A woman comes to me. She is exhausted. She has been exhausted for years. She eats well, she sleeps reasonably well, her life is not in crisis. And yet, she cannot shake this bone-deep tiredness. This sense of heaviness that has no clear explanation.
Safety
First, we reconnect with safety in our roots. That is the foundation. Then we care for our inner child, helping them feel safe with our adult self. And finally, we work with the nervous system, learning to adapt, to stay flexible, to avoid drowning in emotions or getting trapped in endless analysis.
When you are safe your stress hormones decrease or at least they remain still.
Safety isn't just a feeling; it’s a physical requirement for our bodies to function properly.
