afraid of talking
If you're afraid to speak up as an adult, chances are, that fear comes from childhood wounds. Ask yourself: Were you able to speak freely to your parents growing up? Could you express your thoughts, your feelings — and were those emotions truly welcomed?
Was it easier to talk to your mom or your dad? If one of them felt emotionally unsafe to open up to, then yes — you likely carry what some call "mommy issues" or "daddy issues." Or, put more accurately, wounds related to the masculine or feminine energies in your life.
When you don’t feel safe, it shows up in subtle but powerful ways: avoiding eye contact, choosing to text instead of talk, feeling shy, fidgeting, going silent, or forgiving things that actually deeply hurt you — just to keep the peace.
The truth is, healing starts when you acknowledge that younger version of you — the inner child who never felt heard, seen, or safe to speak. And that child still lives within you, waiting for someone — you — to finally listen.
If you're ready to find your voice — both metaphorically and literally — I’m here. You don’t have to do this alone.
Much Love,
