EPISODE NOTES:
In today’s episode, we welcome Natalia Otalora, who was born in Colombia and moved to Miami at the age of 16. Together, we explore the journey of breaking free from the role of the family protector. How do we step away from this responsibility? How do we adapt to a new country while carrying the weight of our loved ones? Natalia shares why it was so important for her to protect her father and brother, growing up in a matriarchal family, and how she ultimately learned to trust herself—especially when it came to choosing her now-husband. Like a dragonfly, a word she uses to describe her journey, Natalia moves through life with trust, courage, and above all, a touch of magic.

Who is Natalia?
Natalia (she/her) is a Heart Artist devoted to the wisdom of the Earth, the creativity of the human spirit, and the power of the heart. Born in Colombia and shaped by the love of her parents—Amparo (shelter) and Carlos (free man)—she finds magic in the quiet clues life leaves along the way. She’s followed her heart through many creative paths—designing toys, teaching calligraphy, running a wedding stationery studio—each one gently bringing her back to the love of mystery over mastery. Through her work, Natalia invites others to listen to the honest voice of their inner child, awaken their creative power, and return to the sacred connection between Earth and Heart.
