movement
"Wherever you are in your life — moving fast, moving slow, or just beginning to move again — you are still in motion. And that is enough." Marine Selenee
Reflecting on the last seven months. My birthday is coming up in two weeks, and I remember expecting the start of this year to feel fast, full speed. A new cycle. The Year of the Horse. And yet, somehow, it still felt like being a pony.
And despite my love for ponies, I found myself longing to feel like a horse, galloping on the beach, in the mountains, in that complete freedom and symbiosis I remember so well with my favorite animal. Untamed, no matter what. Feeling everything fully, even the parts that gave us a hard time when we weren't present.
But still, it didn't feel fast enough. I have big projects underway, and it has felt like the universe has been testing me for the past two years. Then I paused. I really looked at it. And even though there were no dramatic leaps, I realized I had still been moving, for six months now. I decided to move out of my house. To bet on a new business. To trust that this next chapter will meet me exactly where I am.
Because movement is everything. Movement is life. And as long as you wake up every morning, you are already doing it.
It's the same with therapy. Sometimes the benefits are invisible and yet they're happening. Slowly, surely, moving through the body. Freeing emotions and words that were never expressed. And then, one day, out of nowhere, the shell cracks. Tears of relief arrive. And in that moment, you realize: even in the invisible, there was movement all along.
I worked through a lot of stagnation this past year, physically and emotionally. And the moment I reconnected with movement, things began to clarify. I started trusting the path again. Surrendering to the invisible plan that, no matter what, unfolds through movement.
So if right now it still feels like a "what is even happening" kind of season, you are not alone. We all feel stagnant sometimes. But trust the invisible. It doesn't need to be big to be magical. It doesn't need to make sense right away. It just needs to be embraced.
During a recent ritual with a few powerful women, I chose the element of Air, the Great Wind, to open the path, clear the road, and finally feel free in that new wind. North, south, east, west, it doesn't matter which direction, as long as you keep moving. Expanding. Not ruminating. Not stagnant.
Life is yours. Trust the flow of it.
Let's embrace it, even in this Miami heat. I keep reaching for fresh air through the trees, through the wind, through the rain that feels like a deep cleansing after all that sweat.
Wishing you a summer where you let Life guide you through water, spirit, fire, ether, wood, or all of them at once.
Pick your element. And trust.
It's here. It's yours.
With love,
Marine Sélénée
